Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams went on a three-day juice cleanse to rid his body of 'bad toxins' in his sore ankles, which ultimately helped him get his game back.
Williams has dealt with a variety of injuries, most recently in both ankles, which forced him out of the lineup for two games in mid-February.
Now, Williams is back and, he says, as good as ever.
During the All-Star break the NBA star went on a three-day juice cleanse and had a third round of injections in his ankles.
"My ankles don't hurt," Williams said.
"We finally got the injections in the right spot, and I feel a little bit better. I can actually go up and down stairs. I can run around with my kids. I don't hurt every time I take a single step, I feel a lot better."
Just after the break, Williams said his ankles were so painful he could no longer elevate to dunk.
Apparently that changed after another round of injections and juicing.
“I can dunk,” Williams boldly declared.
Will he try to dunk this season?
"I'm still nervous, " Williams said.
Looks like we'll just have to wait and see...
